Eyebrows are one of the most important aspects of the face that influence a person’s look, mood, and beautify the eye. Unfortunately, many women suffer from thinning eyebrows.
Microblading is an excellent solution for a semi-permanent darkening and thickening of the brows that appears just like actually hairs within the brow. Unlike tattooing that uses dots of ink to create pigmentation within the skin, microblading uses micro brushstrokes to mimic the appearance of individuals hairs within the brow.

Why Choose Facial Aesthetic Concepts?
At Facial Aesthetic Concepts, we know just how much your eyebrows affect the look of your face. Thin or balding eyebrows detract from the natural beauty of the face. Full, well-shaped brows add a degree of elegance and beauty to the eyes. Our experts in facial aesthetics know how to help you achieve brows that are a balanced accent to your eyes and facial structure that will enhance instead of distract from your facial features.
Other eyebrow sculpting methods all too easily result in brows that are too thin and not well shaped. You often end up having to fill in your eyebrows with makeup. What’s more, you have to make frequent appointments to keep your eyebrows in shape.
Our microblading technique is done by an artist with a handheld microblading pen over a series of 3 appointments. Our staff treats every microblading session as a chance to help our clients look their best. We work with you to determine and achieve your ideal shape and fullness for your brows.

Microblading at Aesthetic Facial Concepts is done over 3 appointments. Your first appointment is a consultation and initial shaping during which you will be able to speak with one of our permanent makeup artists and determine the perfect shape for your brows. Your next appointment will be the first microblading session. The third appointment, which is typically about four to six weeks after the first microblading session, will be a “perfecting” session during which the artist will fill in any faded areas and make adjustments to ensure that the shape and thickness of your brows are absolutely perfect. Every stroke is carefully planned.
To ensure your comfort, we will provide topical numbing cream before the treatment begins. We also offer local anesthesia to provide additional comfort for your treatment. Our microblading artist will check with you throughout your appointment to make sure you are doing well.
Your Microblading Recovery & Results
Immediately following a microblading treatment session, you may experience some redness and a slight stinging sensation after the numbing agent wears off. This should go away within the day. You can expect the pigment to darken the following day. Our artist will give you a topical ointment as well as instructions for aftercare.
While microblading is minimally invasive, you should avoid the following activities until a few days after your last microblading session:
- Excessive sweating
- Swimming
- Sun tanning
- Chemical contact with the treatment area
- Drinking in excess
You should also avoid touching the eyebrow area. Do not pick or scratch at it. Shower very carefully and avoid getting water on your eyebrow area; you may want to take a bath instead. Your eyebrows will be itchy and flaky for a few weeks. Full healing should take 4 to 6 weeks. Following proper aftercare reduces these symptoms.
Microblading is much more superficial than tattooed eyebrow makeup, so we recommend a refresh every 12 to 18 months. Beyond these re-treatments, microbladed brows require little to no maintenance.
Microblading is one of the best ways to fill and shape your eyebrows. It is minimally invasive, and every stroke is handcrafted by a genuine makeup artist. The long-lasting effect means that you don’t need to waste time shaping your eyebrows every morning, giving you more time to focus on the rest of your morning routine and helping you to look more professional even on difficult days.

Microblading FAQs
How much does microblading cost?
The cost of microblading can vary widely based on the quality of the center offering it, their experience, the area where they are located and more. The price of service can be less than $300 or over $1,000.
In general, the lowest prices do not reflect the highest quality and there is a risk of ending up with an untrained technician. Given that you will be wearing the results of the work on your face long term, focus on quality over price.
How do I find the best facility for microblading near me?
Look for places that specialize in cosmetic procedures. Your average salon will not have the best tools or facilities and may not have the proper training.
Seek out facilities that focus on aesthetic medicine and are staffed by medical professionals rather than just people who have completed a microblading course.
How long does a microblading appointment last?
The procedure itself takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. However, there is also prep time needed to make sure the brows are only filled in at the desired spots.
In general, the first appointment takes the longest, as there is a lot we need to discuss with you, including your expectations for treatment.
How much pain will I experience with microblading?
We apply topical and liquid anesthetic to minimize the pain. Most of our patients note very little discomfort with some not noticing pain at all.
However, this is highly individualized. We ask that you communicate with us throughout the procedure if anything is bothering you.
How many applications are needed for microblading?
At least 2 sessions are required to get the best results. After that, expect to get touchups periodically to maintain your new look.
What is the recovery like with microblading?
In terms of downtime or needing to step away from work, there is no recovery period. However, your brows will not look like the final product right away. First, they may look too dark — much darker than the target shade.
This can last for up to a few days, as does the swelling around the brows. Within 6 to 8 weeks, the skin’s natural exfoliating process will lighten the pigment until it reaches the target shade. You will need to avoid harsh products and sun exposure until the skin is healed.
Are there any risks with microblading?
Microblading is a form of tattooing. As such, it comes with much of the same risks as tattooing does. This includes infection and allergic reaction. If you have ever had a negative reaction to a tattoo, you should not get microblading.
How can I tell if I am a good candidate for microblading?
In general, anyone who wants to alter the thickness or shape of their brows can benefit from the procedure. Most individuals seeking treatment have brows that are sparse, nonexistent or light in color.
How do I prepare for microblading?
We suggest the following:
- Gather reference photos of brows you like
- Stop getting your brows waxed, plucked, threaded, or tinted for at least a week prior to your appointment
- Let us know if you have used Accutane in the last year
- Stop using Retinol products for at least 2 weeks
- Do not get BOTOX® within 2 weeks of your appointment
- Skip chemical peels for at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment
- Do not tan or get direct sun exposure for 2 weeks prior to your appointment
- Do not drink alcohol or caffeine within 24 hours of your procedure
- Skip ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, or blood thinning medications for 24 hours prior to the procedure
