What to Expect on the Day of Fat Transfer Treatment

When you are ready for your fat transfer procedure, the details of your surgical plan will be reviewed once more to address any remaining or outstanding questions. Depending on the extent of the treatment required, you will be placed under local or general anesthesia.

During a fat transfer procedure, your surgeon will create a small incision in the treatment area and insert a “cannula,” or a small tube with suction that will remove the unwanted fat.
