The Dynamic Variable Depth Radio Frequency (DVD RF) procedure is a non-surgical radio frequency treatment designed to improve skin laxity by stimulating the healing response in the body to build collagen and elastin to tighten your skin. Since the device essentially combines microneedling with radio frequency treatment, you will see improvement with skin texture as well as firmness. DVD RF can also be combined with our Microlaser Peel for enhanced results. This minimal downtime procedure is designed to treat various skin conditions to improve the skin’s texture and leave the skin feeling firmer and tighter. It improves skin tone and brings other textural benefits, such as reductions in: fine lines and wrinkles, pore size, photo damage, and light scarring from acne. As we switch from the summer season of sunny warm months, to the cooler months of fall it is a perfect time to reevaluate your skin care routine to ensure glowing skin year round! Many of us experience changes in our skin as the seasons change, from dry skin to pigmentation, and more. FRACTIONAL CO2 Fractional CO2 lasers work by targeting the areas of skin that need help without harming healthy areas of skin. A Fractional CO2 laser “scatters” the energy in the light beam so that the energy still reaches deep into the skin but is spread out more evenly. This kind of resurfacing produces more dramatic results than previously possible, and it can be safely used on the face, neck and chest. Fractional CO2 laser treatments typically require only a topical anesthesia to minimize discomfort and pain. Some patients do experience a feeling akin to mild sunburn for a few hours to a few days, but that is the primary extent of discomfort. Fractional CO2 Laser skin resurfacing at Facial Aesthetic Concepts is a safe and effective option for people who are looking to reduce certain skin problems and improve the look, feel, and health of the skin on the face, neck, and chest.
Intense Pulsed Light therapy, or IPL, is not a laser, but rather a series of gentle pulses of intense light applied to specific treatment areas. At Facial Aesthetic Concepts, we most frequently use IPL to reduce excess pigmentation, but it can also be used to treat small, unsightly veins. Without damaging the skin, the light from an IPL device penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by the abnormally dilated vessels and areas of unwanted pigmentation. The heat from the light then impairs the vessel or pigment cluster, and the body begins its natural healing process.
I would have to say chemical peels, TCA peels are a fall favorite treatment. As days become shorter & cooler (hopefully) one of the best ways to treat dark spots & texture is to resurface the skin with a chemical exfoliant. Its great for not just your face but chest, arms & hands. It can be paired with lasers like IPL or other mechanical exfoliants like microdermabrasion or dermaplaning.
